Cracker Van Beethoven

Amazing show last night. Cracker could have chose more "up" songs instead of so many of their mellower tunes, but they still kicked some ass.

And Camper... wow! Saw them 15 years ago, and it's still the best convert i've ever seen to this day, and only the lack of Crispy Derson on drums made their reunion tour come in at a close 2nd.

Victor and Greg are still two of the most incredible musicians (and Vic filled in on bass for Cracker) and it was very apparent why they're so much in demand as studio msusicians, and Jonathon Segal's ego was still apparent, but i'll let it slide since he's such a violin god.

Played all their cult tunes, and gave Take the Skinheads Bowling a much heavier feel. Club Med Sucks, The Day That Lassie Went to the Moon, and Better Shut us Down were the classics they played along with a few of their instrumentals including closing the show with a HEAVY version of Interstellar Overdrive.

Also did a bunch of tunes off Our Beloved Revolutionary Sweetheart and Key Lime Pie.

My only complaint is that the drummer was hopelessly outclassed. Since Crispy couldn't make the reunion, they borrowed Crackers drummer, and there were a lot of tunes where he didn't even bother trying the Crispisms... He was in over his head.

Other than that, another amazing show, just wish they'd played One of These Days and Life is Grand.

Pete, Cracker is David Lowery's Band after Camper. Vic, Greg, and Crispy fromed Monks of Doom, and Jon Segal wnet solo...
